National Law Enforcement Explorer Conferences are held every other year to allow posts from across the nation compete in different aspects of law enforcement. The week-long conference offer explorers the opportunity to compete in everything from hostage negotiation, traffic stops, accident investigation, burglary in progress, and many other competition. Individual competitions are also held in events such as bike policing, driving, and pistol shooting.
In addition to competitions, explorers are offered the opportunity to learn about every field of police work, from Federal agencies such as the FBI and DEA, to state patrols and local departments. Agencies perform demonstrations and have information sessions for interested Explorers. Professional entertainment is also provided, as well as plenty of leisure time.
