Welcome to the University City Law Enforcement Explorer home page.  The Law Enforcement Explorer program allows young men and women, between the ages of 14 and 21, the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the law enforcement and criminal justice career fields.

Explorers recieve basic, hands-on training in different aspects of police work, everything from traffic stops to hostage negotiation.  They also assist in community events and aid police officers.  The program builds confidence, discipline, and a sense of community.

Explorers also participate in a ride-along program with the department.  During the ride-along, explorers ride as the second person in the patrol car, and are given the opportunity to experience police work hands-on.
